Thrush — "Where We Do Everything Thrush"

Thrush Maintenance

  • 100 hour and annual inspections

Fuselage repairs are performed in our Thrush fuselage jig; wing repairs use our dedicated wing fixtures; landing gear repairs use our landing gear fixtures. Empennage recovering (horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer, rudder, elevators) uses the Poly-Fiber process.

JAS Aerodynamic Thrush Wing Root Fairings

  • Reduces or eliminates tail buffet in tight turns
  • Increases airspeed 3–5 MPH

Cold Air Intake System (600 Thrush) — STC No. SA6033NM

  • Recovers horsepower otherwise lost to heated intake air

Spar Cap Kit — Solution for A.D. 2009-26-11

Century Spar Cap Kit — 60,000 hour life limit, STC'd and PMA'd. Includes much stronger lower spar caps, much stronger lower splice blocks, splice block attaching hardware, installation drawings, and instructions.

We also offer factory NEW lower spar caps giving 5,400–6,200 hours at a reasonable price. We sell and install all spar cap options, and we carry rebuilt wings in stock, with trade-ins accepted.

We also sell and install reinforced Thrush Leading Edge Wing Skins — significantly tougher than stock, and a great solution if you're experiencing bird strikes that dent and create aerodynamic problems on the standard .050" thickness skin (reinforced version adds .050" in the shaded/leading edge area).

JAS Ultra Thrush

 

The JAS Ultra Thrush is typically a radial-engined or smaller turbine Thrush converted to the P&W PT6A-41/42 (850 SHP) using the Cascade conversion kit, paired with an AVIA High Performance 3-blade propeller or a Hartzell High Performance 4-blade propeller. The aircraft is completely rebuilt and updated, including:

  • Updated, fully inspected, line-oiled fuselage with factory beef-up kits
  • Extended wings, 192 or 230 gallon fuel
  • Very low time or new spar caps
  • Vortex generators, wing root fairings, aileron servos
  • Rebuilt 500 gallon hopper, complete spray system, adjustable fan, stainless steel booms, CP nozzles, left side load
  • Air conditioning; Nav/Strobe/Instrument/Landing lights
  • New upper center instrument panel with MVP50T Glass Panel and new solid state charging circuit (no carbon pile system)
  • New throttle quadrant; newly recovered tail surfaces (Poly Fiber) or factory metal tail
  • Rebuilt 29" wheels/brakes with new APS black steel brake discs and linings
  • Spring steel tail wheel gear with 5.00 x 5 tire; rebuilt shock struts with new biscuits
  • Split side panels with stainless Phillips head fasteners; double latch cockpit doors
  • New or excellent glass; new Alumigrip HS 4200 paint with custom schemes standard
